Job Summary
To support payroll operations, the part-time hourly Payroll Administrator I will manage payroll processing, maintain payroll records, and ensure compliance with tax regulations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Administer payroll operations by processing payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and government regulations
- Manage employee payroll transactions, including new hires, terminations, and pay rate changes, while maintaining data accuracy
- Prepare and submit state tax filings and quarterly tax reports while maintaining accurate payroll records for audit readiness
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Minimum of two years of experience processing multi-state payroll in a fast-paced environment
- Extensive knowledge of payroll administration, including compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly intermediate-level Excel skills; experience with HRIS systems required
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate and analyze payroll-related reports
