Payroll Amendment Specialist

Job Summary

Detail-oriented and organized, the remote Amendment Specialist will ensure the accuracy and compliance of payroll tax records, processing amendment requests and managing tax liabilities for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor Salesforce queues for incoming amendment requests and conduct necessary research
• Process amendments through MasterTax and manually handle any unsupported amended tax returns
• Assist with customer tax notices requiring amendments and provide support to clients and internal teams

Required qualifications

• Strong payroll tax knowledge and familiarity with payroll tax return filing requirements
• Experience in the current role for at least 9+ months, exceeding expectations
• Knowledge of Third Party Access rules
• Self-motivated with strong time-management and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic environment
