Job Summary
To bridge the gap between business strategy, finance, and data engineering, the remote contract Payroll Analytics Analyst will leverage payroll systems for deep-dive analyses, design statistical experiments, and create compelling data narratives to support executive decision-making.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct deep-dive analyses on workforce compensation and payroll efficiency using specialized payroll systems
- Design experimental frameworks and A/B tests to test hypotheses across business processes
- Translate complex data findings into clear visual stories for executive leadership and HR/Finance stakeholders
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field (Master's preferred)
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Payroll Analytics or a directly related field
- 1+ year in a project lead, team lead, or supervisory capacity
- Proficiency in Oracle HCM Payroll and Alteryx for data blending and workflow automation
- Core technical expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and programming (Python or R)
