Job Summary
Owning the full employee lifecycle from a compensation and benefits operations standpoint, the full-time remote Payroll and Benefits Manager will manage multi-state payroll processing, administer employee benefits programs, and ensure compliance with payroll regulations while supporting a growing workforce.
Key responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll accurately and manage year-end processes including W-2s and ACA reporting
- Administer health, dental, vision, and retirement benefit programs, serving as the primary contact for employee inquiries
- Plan and execute annual open enrollment, coordinating with vendors and evaluating current offerings for leadership recommendations
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience, including 2 years in a standalone or lead role
- Experience processing multi-state payroll for a company with 150+ employees
- Deep knowledge of payroll regulations and benefits law (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, etc.)
- Strong benefits administration experience, including medical, dental, and retirement programs
- Hands-on experience with payroll platforms such as Rippling, Gusto, ADP, or Paylocity
