Job Summary
Managing payroll administration for a portfolio of clients, the full-time remote Payroll and Compliance Specialist will ensure accurate payroll processing, advise on regulatory compliance, and support system implementations while enhancing operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Review and reconcile payroll data, completing month-end and year-end activities
- Serve as a trusted advisor on payroll tax compliance and respond to client inquiries
Required qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll administration or payroll consulting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processing, reporting, and compliance regulations
- Hands-on experience with payroll and HRIS platforms, preferably Rippling and Paylocity
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
