Payroll and People Operations Analyst

Job Summary

Supporting payroll operations for a dynamic workforce, the full-time remote Payroll and People Operations Analyst will manage multi-state payroll processing, compliance, and reporting while collaborating closely with the Payroll Manager and HR Business Partners.

Key responsibilities

• Process and reconcile multi-state payroll in Workday, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Support year-end activities and audits by preparing payroll documentation and monitoring tax deadlines
• Partner with HR on compensation changes and respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment
• Proficiency in Workday Payroll; experience with equity or stock-based payroll is a plus
• Knowledge of ADP SmartCompliance and federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage tight deadlines accurately
• Experience using AI tools for process automation and improvement is preferred
