Payroll and People Operations Analyst

Job Summary

To support payroll operations for a dynamic workforce, the full-time remote Payroll and People Operations Analyst will manage multi-state payroll processing, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and collaborate with HR on various employee-related tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Process and reconcile multi-state payroll accurately and on schedule using Workday
• Support compliance activities including year-end W-2 processing and payroll tax reconciliation
• Partner with HR to manage compensation changes, new hire setups, and respond to employee payroll inquiries

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment
• Experience with Workday Payroll is required; knowledge of ADP SmartCompliance is a plus
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with AI tools for workflow improvement
• Clear communication skills to convey payroll complexities to non-payroll audiences
