Job Summary
To support the payroll operations of the People team, the full-time Payroll and Tax Specialist will manage payroll data collection, address employee inquiries, and oversee payroll tax administration while working remotely within the Texas Central Standard Time zone.
Key responsibilities
- Execute and iterate on the Payroll Operations roadmap to enhance automation and standardization of HR processes
- Perform payroll data collection, address employee pay-related questions, and prepare payroll reports
- Manage payroll tax accounts, filings, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive payroll experience in a dynamic environment
- Experience with Workday and ADP Smart Compliance for payroll processing
- Functional knowledge of federal and state employment laws and compliance
- Strong Excel skills and ability to produce and analyze payroll and tax reports
- Experience in a People Operations role, preferably within the tech industry
