Payroll Clerk

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Payroll Clerk will manage the processing of claims related to garnishments, levies, and 1099-K corrections while ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Examine and process garnishments, levies, and liens for accuracy and legal sufficiency
• Review customer accounts to identify implications and manage fund restraints and releases
• Prepare and submit response documents to third parties while maintaining a tracking system of actions taken

Required qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with lien, levy, or garnishment processing
• Experience with 1099-K tax form corrections is a plus
• Proficiency in Google Docs and Sheets
• Strong time management skills
• High level of reading comprehension
