Payroll Compliance Specialist

Job Summary

As the first dedicated payroll hire, the full-time Payroll Solutions Specialist will manage payroll compliance, tax, and operational inquiries for pet care providers while serving as the primary escalation point for payroll-related issues, working closely with internal teams and a third-party processor.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary escalation point for payroll compliance, tax, regulatory, and setup-related questions
• Support onboarding and implementation in partnership with the embedded payroll processor and internal teams
• Provide consultative guidance on payroll setup and best practices to prospective customers

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll administration, payroll operations, or payroll compliance experience
• Strong understanding of payroll taxes, wage and hour laws, and multi-state payroll regulations
• Experience supporting integrated payroll systems or payroll-related customer issues
• Ability to explain complex payroll concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
