Job Summary
Detail-oriented and experienced, the full-time remote Payroll Compliance Specialist will manage payroll operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and serve as a liaison between employees, HR business partners, and external vendors.
Key responsibilities
- Respond to payroll support inquiries and audit timekeeping records to ensure accuracy
- Prepare off-cycle checks and maintain union dues and pension deductions while ensuring compliance with relevant laws
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to manage tax updates and unemployment claims
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred
- Generally, 5+ years of experience in payroll or compliance-related roles preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- Experience with Workday is strongly preferred
- Ability to interpret policies and procedures effectively
