Job Summary
To support a growing network of animal hospitals, the full-time Payroll Coordinator will manage bi-weekly and monthly payroll disbursements for over 20,000 teammates, ensuring accuracy while collaborating with Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations teams, either onsite in Birmingham, Alabama, or remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Support internal controls and operations to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing
- Investigate and respond to payroll inquiries while maintaining knowledge of current policies and procedures
- Complete accurate and timely quarterly and year-end payroll reporting
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 4+ years of experience with an integrated HRIS/Payroll system
- Strong knowledge of payroll best practices, including taxation and regulations
- Experience processing payroll for 5,000+ employees across multiple states
- Strong proficiency in Excel
