Job Summary
Overseeing and managing all payroll operations for a 48-state remote workforce, the full-time Payroll Manager will develop payroll strategies, ensure compliance with multistate regulations, and provide employee support while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Establish and monitor payroll administration strategies and performance goals for the payroll team
- Manage end-to-end bi-monthly payroll processing, ensuring compliance with state and local payroll laws
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external payroll providers to ensure service quality and efficiency
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resource Management
- 8 - 10 years of related work experience, with 3 - 5 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience working with payroll providers and third-party service providers
- Familiarity with payroll software and applications, including Workday and ADP preferred
