Payroll Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a results-oriented Payroll Manager to work remotely with occasional office visits in Herndon, Virginia, who will manage payroll preparation and processing for over 800 employees, oversee payroll staff, and ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly multi-state payroll and manage day-to-day payroll activities
• Lead the implementation of payroll software and ensure accurate tax filings and compliance with labor regulations
• Develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and training programs for staff

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• 10 years of Finance/Accounting experience, including 5+ years in payroll management
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
• Experience with Oracle or other large ERP payroll systems
• Broad knowledge of current payroll laws and compliance requirements
