Payroll Manager

Job Summary

Leading a domestic and offshore payroll team, the full-time remote Payroll Manager will oversee end-to-end payroll operations for a large, multi-state healthcare organization, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accurate and timely payroll operations for approximately 20,000 employees across multiple states
• Develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and controls while leading year-end payroll activities and audits
• Identify opportunities for payroll process improvements and serve as a key stakeholder in system configurations and implementations

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including operations, compliance, tax reporting, and audits
• 5+ years of payroll leadership experience with direct responsibility for end-to-end payroll operations
• Experience managing complex, multi-state payroll operations supporting large employee populations
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
