Payroll Operations Manager

Job Summary

Leading payroll operations in a full-time remote capacity, the Payroll Operations Manager will ensure compliance, manage payroll delivery, and drive process improvements while partnering with various departments and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee payroll cycles, off-cycle payments, and year-end processing while resolving escalated issues
• Ensure compliance with wage/hour laws, tax regulations, and audit requirements
• Lead team development and establish standards for payroll operations and reporting

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources, or related field; equivalent experience considered
• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience in a large, complex organization
• 2+ years of leadership or team management experience
• Deep knowledge of payroll operations, tax regulations, and multi-state payroll environments
• Strong systems aptitude with Workday and advanced Excel skills
