Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Payroll & Accounting Specialist to support Finance and HR functions through accurate payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls for a multi-state employee base
• Calculate and record payroll-related journal entries in the accounting system
• Review and validate approved timecards and compensation-related inputs prior to payroll submission

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field preferred
• 3-7 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment
• Paylocity experience is preferred
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth company is a plus
• General understanding of US GAAP or IFRS accounting is a plus
