Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Payroll Specialist to assist with payroll-related tasks on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Address and resolve payroll-related tickets in Jira with accuracy and efficiency
• Conduct research to investigate and resolve discrepancies, pay issues, and tax-related questions
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Payroll teams to manage complex payroll matters

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in payroll processing, including multi-state payroll
• Hands-on expertise with Workday payroll systems
• Familiarity with Jira or similar ticketing systems for case management
• Experience working with payroll processes for large employee groups, ideally over 500 employees
• Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks independently with minimal supervision
