Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Payroll Specialist who is responsible for generating and processing payroll and performing related functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares, processes, and generates payroll
• Reviews payroll reports for accuracy and interprets contract language
• Compiles backup for audit and SOX compliance while meeting all outlined deadlines

Required Qualifications

• An associate's degree or 5+ years of equivalent work experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll-related roles is preferred
• FPC or CPP certification is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles is required
• Experience with payroll software is preferred
• Proficient in Excel (Pivot Table, V-lookups, and advanced formulas)
