Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the contract Payroll Specialist will process payroll for over 500 employees, maintain payroll records, and ensure compliance with payroll regulations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll for 500+ employees with accuracy and timeliness
• Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires and terminations
• Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state environment
• Experience processing payroll for 500+ employees weekly
• Proficiency with payroll software, preferably Rippling or similar HRIS/payroll platforms
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general accounting practices
