Job Summary
Overseeing accurate and timely payroll operations for a diverse employee population, the full-time Payroll Specialist will manage end-to-end payroll processing, payroll tax activities, and compliance with wage regulations in a primarily remote role with occasional in-person attendance for training and team collaboration.
Key responsibilities:
- Administer end-to-end weekly payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage payroll tax activities, including federal tax filings, quarterly reporting, and payroll tax reconciliation
- Interpret and apply prevailing wage requirements to maintain compliance on government-funded projects
Required qualifications:
- 3-5 years of hands-on payroll experience, including full-cycle payroll processing
- Demonstrated expertise in payroll tax compliance, including preparation or review of Form 941 filings
- Working knowledge of prevailing wage regulations, including the Davis-Bacon Act and Service Contract Act
- Experience processing payroll for organizations with approximately 101-500 employees
- Familiarity with payroll platforms or ERP systems such as NetSuite
