Job Summary
Providing a wide variety of payroll-related activities, the full-time Payroll Specialist will manage payroll processing, including auditing new hire data, updating employee records, and responding to payroll inquiries, while working remotely within the PST or MST time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and audit new hire and departure notifications to ensure accuracy in the payroll system
- Update employee payroll records, including tax status and direct deposit information
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and process off-cycle checks as needed
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with payroll applications, preferably DayForce or other cloud-based systems
- Knowledge of federal and state wage and tax laws, with preference for union payroll experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide high-level customer service
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
