Job Summary
Managing payroll for assigned client companies, the part-time Payroll Specialist will ensure accurate payroll processing, maintain compliance with FLSA regulations, and handle employee record updates while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll for approximately 40-50 client companies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FLSA and DOL compliance regulations
- Prepare payroll reports and facilitate communication across departments to enhance client satisfaction
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years' experience in full lifecycle payroll processing
- General knowledge of federal and state payroll laws
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Outlook, with the ability to learn company software quickly
- PEO experience and payroll certification are strongly preferred
- Ability to manage sensitive client situations with professionalism
