Job Summary
To support accurate and timely payroll operations for employees across the U.S. and Canada, the Payroll Specialist will focus on end-to-end payroll processing, account reconciliation, issue resolution, and reporting in a fully remote, long-term contract role.
Key responsibilities
- Process weekly and biweekly payroll cycles for U.S. and Canadian employees, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met
- Review timekeeping records and payroll summaries for data accuracy before finalizing payroll
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, preparing on-demand payroll reporting and maintaining compliance
Required qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience processing high-volume payroll in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on knowledge of full-cycle payroll administration across multiple states, including U.S. and Canada practices
- Experience with payroll platforms such as UKG Pro, Ceridian, or similar enterprise systems
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field
- Strong familiarity with payroll compliance requirements and payroll accounting concepts
