Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

To support a multi-state payroll environment, the remote Payroll Specialist will manage accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance, and reporting on a contract basis for a duration of 3+ months with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including tax reporting, deductions, and reconciliations
• Prepare payroll accounting entries, reports, and audit documentation
• Support 401(k) administration and collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll issues

Required qualifications:

• 0-2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a large organization (1,000+ employees)
• Knowledge of payroll processing, accounting, taxes, and compliance
• Experience with multi-state and multi-entity payroll preferred
• Associate degree preferred; FPC or CPP certification is a plus
