Job Summary
Detail-oriented and experienced, the full-time Payroll Specialist will manage payroll processing, including auditing new hire data, updating employee records, and responding to payroll inquiries, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review and audit new hire and departure notifications to ensure data accuracy in the payroll system
- Update employee payroll records and process various payroll-related transactions, including off-cycle checks and involuntary deductions
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and complete union and certified payroll reports in a timely manner
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4 to 6 years of payroll experience
- Experience with payroll applications, preferably DayForce or other cloud-based systems
- Knowledge of federal and state wage and tax laws and compliance regulations
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
