Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing wellness platform, the full-time remote Payroll Specialist will manage customer onboarding, provide payroll support, and drive continuous improvement in payroll processes while helping clients navigate their payroll needs.

Key responsibilities

• Guide customers through the setup and onboarding of Arketa Payroll, ensuring they are prepared to run their first payroll
• Answer customer inquiries related to payroll processing, taxes, and employee setup, troubleshooting issues as needed
• Identify recurring customer pain points and recommend improvements while contributing to the creation of support documentation

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience supporting payroll, HR, accounting, or SaaS customers
• Familiarity with payroll software such as Gusto, ADP, or QuickBooks Payroll is preferred
• Knowledge of payroll fundamentals, including employee setup and tax deductions
• Experience in customer service with strong communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple customer interactions and priorities simultaneously
