Job Summary
Serving as the primary contact for assigned clients, the full-time PEO Payroll Specialist I will manage all aspects of payroll processing for multi-state employees, ensuring timely and accurate payroll schedules while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Process multi-state payroll, maintain payroll-related accounts, and ensure accuracy through reconciliation
- Handle payroll transactions, including salary changes, deductions, terminations, and resolve client payroll issues
- Collect and process new hire paperwork, maintaining compliance with W-4, I-9, and E-Verify documentation
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience in payroll processing, including garnishments and W-2 maintenance
- Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
- Working knowledge of payroll database systems and time clock systems
- Bilingual skills preferred
