Job Summary
Managing the accurate and timely processing of both U.S. and Canadian payrolls, the full-time Payroll Specialist - Canada will serve as the main point of contact for payroll-related duties and questions while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Balances and controls earnings and deductions for U.S. and Canadian payrolls, ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Processes special payments, audits HRIS changes, and oversees the preparation and disbursement of Canadian payroll
- Updates and develops Standard Operating Procedures, implements automation, and performs year-end audits for payroll reporting
Required qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist in the U.S. and Canada, with Ceridian Dayforce experience preferred
- Prior experience with garnishments is preferred
- Accounting background is a plus
- Ability to handle sensitive documents and maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills and proactive approach to work
