Payroll Specialist with CA & WA Compliance

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Payroll Specialist to manage all aspects of payroll processing and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process company-wide payroll including terminations, bonuses, and regular semi-monthly payroll
• Serve as the point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and collaborate with benefits brokers for updates
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and oversee year-end W-2 and 1095 form distribution

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of recent experience processing full cycle payroll with a third-party vendor
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance strongly preferred, or equivalent experience
• Experience with Namely HRIS and payroll platforms is strongly preferred
• Strong familiarity with payroll practices, especially with CA and WA payroll laws
• Proficient in Google Sheets and Excel, with experience in project management tools like Notion preferred
