Job Summary
Supporting complex multi-state payroll tax compliance, the full-time Payroll Tax Analyst will manage tax registrations, filings, and remittances while ensuring accuracy and adherence to federal, state, and local laws in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with payroll tax laws, including multi-state tax registrations and filings
- Analyze and reconcile payroll tax data to support periodic and annual tax filings
- Manage tax notices and correspondence from tax agencies, resolving issues as needed
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution
- At least five years of payroll tax experience in a multi-state environment
- FPC or CPP certification preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of U.S. federal, state, and local payroll tax compliance
- Experience with payroll tax systems implementation or testing is a plus
