Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist for a temporary remote assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to register the company with state and local tax authorities
• Contact payroll tax offices to determine requirements and resolve issues
• Create and maintain records of registration numbers and agency correspondence

Required Qualifications

• 2-3 years of payroll administration or payroll tax experience required
• Multi-state payroll registration experience strongly preferred
• Advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables and v-lookups
• Experience with HR/payroll systems such as ADP, UKG, or Workday is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks or open cases
