Job Summary
Managing payroll tax compliance and reporting activities, the full-time remote Payroll Tax Manager will ensure accurate filings, support audits, and monitor regulatory changes while collaborating with Payroll, HR, and Accounting teams.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and manage quarterly and annual tax filings
- Prepare and review payroll tax reconciliations and maintain accurate payroll records for audits
- Manage payroll tax audits and agency correspondence, leading the resolution of discrepancies and inquiries
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of payroll experience, specifically in payroll tax management and compliance
- Experience managing multi-state payroll operations
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations
- Hands-on experience with ADP Smart Compliance; Workday experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
