Job Summary
Managing employment tax compliance activities for the US and Canada, the full-time Payroll Tax Specialist will ensure adherence to regulations, oversee operational logistics, and resolve high-volume inquiries while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Manage operational logistics for payroll tax functions supporting over 23,000 employees across 30 entities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment tax regulations through the development and monitoring of audit controls
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support employment tax audits and implement best practices for compliance activities
Required qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in employment tax compliance in Canada and the USA
- Demonstrated understanding of employment tax processes and regulatory compliance
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written
- Strong knowledge of employment tax regulations
