Job Summary
Supporting US customers in managing mission-critical payroll workflows, the full-time Payroll Technical Support Engineer will combine technical troubleshooting with payroll product expertise to resolve complex issues and ensure accurate payroll processing while working remotely or in a hybrid schedule from NYC.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve payroll-related escalations, ensuring accurate data flow between systems
- Advise customers on payroll configurations and best practices, troubleshooting compliance and workflow issues
- Translate customer payroll challenges into product feedback and collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on enhancements
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of technical support experience with payroll applications, HRIS systems, or HR SaaS
- Strong understanding of payroll systems, data flows, and related business processes
- Experience in troubleshooting complex customer issues and performing root cause analysis
- Familiarity with APIs, integrations, webhooks, and SQL/database concepts
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and drive tasks forward
