P&C Licensed Commercial Underwriter

Job Summary

To support the Property and Casualty team, the full-time P&C Licensed Commercial Underwriter will manage client submissions, collaborate with sales and customer service representatives, and ensure timely documentation and quotes for new business while working in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Services Specialists (BSS) and Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) to ensure complete submission packets for new accounts
• Assist in the analysis and evaluation of new risks, preparing proposals, and processing endorsements as needed
• Maintain relationships with insurance markets and ensure accurate and timely tracking of all marketing submissions

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 years in the insurance industry; an Associate degree is a plus
• P&C License preferred or to be obtained within the first 6 months of employment
• Basic knowledge of various commercial insurance products and coverages
• Experience in sales, marketing, or customer service roles is advantageous
• Proficient in using Agency Management Systems such as AMS360/WorkSmart and Microsoft Office applications
