P&C Licensed Underwriter Assistant

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriter Assistant to support Binding Authority Underwriters by evaluating and classifying insurance applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine application forms, inspection reports, and other documents to assess risk factors
• Review company records to evaluate insurance amounts and potential loss risks
• Coordinate with underwriters to ensure accurate processing of new and renewal risks

Required Qualifications

• P&C license required
• Associate or bachelor's degree in insurance or accounting preferred; High School Diploma or GED required
• 1 - 2 years' experience in a similar position
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
