P&C Underwriter - California

Job Summary

To support the growth of the HabPro program, the full-time P&C Underwriter - California will manage a portfolio of commercial real estate insurance, providing leadership and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a profitable portfolio of business in alignment with budget expectations
• Provide supervision, training, and guidance to the underwriting department in line with company values
• Engage in strategic discussions for expansion into new states and ensure effective communication on goal setting

Required qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of property and casualty underwriting experience, particularly in binding authority and brokerage underwriting
• Experience in product development and territory expansion is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of additional property and casualty products is desired
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
• P&C license is highly sought after and eligible for reimbursement if obtained upon hire
