PCS Portal Specialist

Job Summary

To support the modernization initiative of the Permanent Change of Station (PCS) Office, the full-time PCS Portal Specialist will manage relocation services for Department of State personnel, providing end-user support and guiding employees through the relocation process while collaborating with stakeholders in a telecommute-friendly environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between customers and service providers, ensuring seamless communication and operational continuity
• Act as a customer advocate by delivering timely and accurate support, addressing inquiries within 24 hours
• Plan and deliver training sessions on PCS procedures and develop workflows and documentation as needed

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; coursework or certifications in logistics or supply chain preferred
• Foundational knowledge of passport and visa processes, and DOS Shipping Entitlements and Travel policies
• Working knowledge of Travel Authorization procedures and the ability to troubleshoot errors
• Ability to interpret policies and communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences
• Must obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance and successfully pass background and drug screening
