Job Summary

A company is looking for a Fleet Consulting Motor Engineer, preferably located in Birmingham or remote within the SoCo footprint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support for medium and low voltage AC and VFD motor maintenance and life cycle management programs
  • Oversee governance and performance monitoring related to motor maintenance and develop relevant procedures and specifications
  • Assist in troubleshooting motor equipment issues and support maintenance and engineering teams during outages and special projects


Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, Controls, or Industrial Engineering from an ABET accredited institution preferred; alternative engineering degrees or a Professional License (P.E.) with relevant experience will be considered
  • A minimum of 10 years of motor experience is required
  • Experience with motor designs, maintenance practices, and troubleshooting techniques is highly desired
  • Active leadership in professional organizations related to motors is highly desired
  • PE License and/or advanced degree relevant to motor design and application is highly desired
