PE Licensed Principal Substation Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Principal Substation Engineer to lead engineering efforts for substation projects remotely within the United States.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual designs, execution plans, and engineering/project cost estimates
• Perform quality reviews and prepare construction documents for medium and high voltage substation projects
• Coordinate with multi-discipline project teams and provide updates on project progress to senior leaders

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in the Substation/Power Delivery field
• Experience with high voltage substation design activities (12kV through 500kV)
• Ability to interpret and apply standards such as IEEE, IEC, and NESC
• B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; PE license is required
• Knowledge of Protection and Controls design is essential
