PE Licensed System Protection Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a PE Licensed System Protection Engineer, the full-time remote position will manage the design, development, and implementation of protective relay settings and coordination studies while providing technical guidance to other engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct short-circuit and symmetrical component analysis, relay settings development, and protection system event analysis
• Develop and coordinate protection schemes for transmission, distribution, generation, and renewable energy sources
• Prepare NERC PRC compliance reports and assist with commissioning and troubleshooting of protection systems

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent
• PE License or ability to obtain within 1 year
• 4+ years of engineering experience in system modeling and fault analysis
• Strong knowledge in relay coordination studies and protective relay settings for systems from 12.47 kV to 345 kV
• Familiarity with NERC PRC standards for compliance
