Job Summary
Seeking a PE Licensed System Protection Engineer, the full-time remote position will manage the design, development, and implementation of protective relay settings and coordination studies while providing technical guidance to other engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct short-circuit and symmetrical component analysis, relay settings development, and protection system event analysis
- Develop and coordinate protection schemes for transmission, distribution, generation, and renewable energy sources
- Prepare NERC PRC compliance reports and assist with commissioning and troubleshooting of protection systems
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent
- PE License or ability to obtain within 1 year
- 4+ years of engineering experience in system modeling and fault analysis
- Strong knowledge in relay coordination studies and protective relay settings for systems from 12.47 kV to 345 kV
- Familiarity with NERC PRC standards for compliance
