Job Summary
Seeking a full-time, remote PE Licensed System Protection Engineer who will manage the design, development, and implementation of protective relay settings and coordination studies while providing technical guidance to other engineers.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct short-circuit and symmetrical component analysis, relay settings development, and protection system event analysis
- Plan and coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work, including commissioning assistance and troubleshooting
- Develop NERC PRC compliance reports and protection schemes for various energy sources
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent
- PE License or ability to obtain within 1 year
- 4+ years of engineering experience in system modeling and fault analysis
- Strong knowledge of relay coordination studies and protective relay settings for systems ranging from 12.47 kV to 345 kV
- Familiarity with NERC PRC standards for compliance
