Job Summary
Seeking licensed Professional Engineers (PE) with expertise in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, the full-time remote position will lead the technical design, development, and integration of commercial and governmental marine vessels while ensuring regulatory compliance and driving engineering excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Assume total technical responsibility and quality control for specific Ship Work Breakdown Structure (SWBS) groupings
- Review, verify, and stamp design packages for classification societies and flag state authorities
- Coordinate with other SWBS leads to ensure proper integration of systems and compliance with regulatory standards
Required qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) License in Naval Architecture or a related field
- 5-20+ years of progressive maritime or heavy industrial engineering experience
- Proficiency with industry-standard 2D/3D CAD and CAE/FEA software suites
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
