Peer Recovery Support Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Peer Recovery Support Specialist to assist members in their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts substance misuse assessments and develops recovery and treatment plans using motivational interviewing techniques
• Collaborates with members to create behavioral routines and identifies community resources to support individual goals
• Assists members in developing empowerment skills and combating stigma through self-advocacy

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED required
• 2+ years of experience working with vulnerable populations with chronic or complex bio-psychosocial needs
• Peer Recovery Support Certification required
• Completion of 60 contact hours of peer recovery-focused education and training
• At least six hours of ethics education and training within the last six years
