Pega Lead System Architect

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Pega Lead System Architect for a full-time remote position to provide senior technical architecture leadership for an enterprise Pega Cloud modernization effort, focusing on end-to-end application architecture, design reviews, and technical oversight within the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end Pega application architecture and high-level solution design, ensuring alignment with case management, workflows, and integrations
• Establish architecture guardrails to maximize declarative configuration and minimize custom code while supporting compliance with security and operational requirements
• Guide architecture and design reviews, providing technical oversight during sprint delivery and troubleshooting complex system issues

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture or software delivery, with substantial hands-on Pega implementation experience
• Demonstrated performance in a Pega architecture role comparable to Lead System Architect or senior enterprise solution architect
• Deep knowledge of Pega case management, application structure, and integration patterns
• Experience designing secure, scalable, and maintainable enterprise Pega solutions
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
