Pennsylvania Licensed Billing Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Billing Specialist 1 who will manage the billing of patient services and follow up on accounts receivable.

Key Responsibilities

• Processes and posts service entries into the EHR and generates claims and invoices
• Monitors accounts receivable, investigates outstanding balances, and communicates with relevant departments for resolution
• Tracks and reports on accounts receivable status and participates in monthly closings

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of one year billing experience
• Understanding of healthcare billing practices and the full billing cycle
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and patient privacy laws
• Ability to pass a PA Criminal Background Check and obtain necessary clearances
