Pennsylvania Licensed Clinical Data Abstractor
Job Summary
Working in a hybrid capacity, the full-time Pennsylvania Licensed Clinical Data Abstractor will be responsible for clinical data abstraction of medical records, utilizing CMS/Joint Commission guidelines and collaborating on local and national levels to ensure compliance with abstraction standards.
Key responsibilities
- Perform clinical data abstraction of medical records, including open heart charts, according to specified guidelines
- Attend system meetings and educational seminars to stay updated on changes to abstraction guidelines
- Utilize strong analytical skills to interpret data from multiple sources for accurate reporting
Required qualifications
- RN strongly preferred; or graduate from a health management program; or pursuing a related health or medical degree
- Experience with medical terminology is required
- Familiarity with TJC/CMS Core Measure clinical data abstraction or Performance Improvement is preferred
- Licensure as RN, LPN, RHIT, or RHIA where applicable
