Job Summary
To enhance clinical documentation integrity, the part-time Pennsylvania Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist will improve the quality and accuracy of patient records while working remotely, focusing on compliance with DRG reimbursement processes and ICD-10 CM coding guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Educate and communicate with medical staff and coding teams to ensure accurate clinical documentation
- Analyze and improve metrics related to clinical documentation quality and compliance
- Support the organization in achieving optimal reimbursement through thorough documentation practices
Required qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania RN license
- Graduate of a Registered Nurse Program; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of three years of medical/surgical/acute care nursing experience or two years of inpatient coding experience
- Knowledge of DRG reimbursement processes and ICD-10 CM coding guidelines
- ACDIS credentialing or certification as a Coding Specialist, RHIT, or RHIA preferred
