Job Summary
A company is looking for a Credit Refund Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve credit balances using assigned software
- Process self-pay and insurance refunds while documenting actions taken
- Assist with account reconciliation questions and ensure compliance with payor contracts
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3 years of physician or hospital billing/insurance follow-up experience or 2 years of refunding experience with an automated patient accounting system
- Knowledge of insurance companies' contracts and regulations
- Mathematical competency for understanding debits, credits, and adjustments
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite
